M. Oliver Wilkey
bares a striking resemblance to Oscar Wilde, though without some
of his emotional issues. |
M.
Oliver Wilkey
Playwrite/Pet Groomer
Though
Mr. Wilkey enjoys his work as a professional pet groomer, his
first love is the theatre. With a solid command of the English
language and a striking resemblance to Oscar Wilde, the part-time
playwrite has become a dominant force in the southern Indiana
theatre scene. Wilkey recently completed "The Importance
of Being Earnest About Pet Grooming" -- a new play combining
his two (2) his passions - theatre and pet grooming.

Owner/Actor/Director/Chef
Founder
of the Virtual Dinner Theatre, star of stage and screen, and Bowling
Green's all-around "Chairman of the Bard," G. Pat Mortimer
is instrumental in bringing M.O. Wilkey's vision to the Internet.
You may remember Mr. Mortimer from the film "Hoosiers"
(see photo) -- or as "The Carpet Man" in the long-running
"Bowling Green Carpet Haus" ad campaign. He is currently
directing our production of M. Oliver Wilkey's "The Happy
Gondoliers", while overseeing VDT's kitchen operation.

The
Reviews Are In!
Here's what people are saying about "The Happy
Gondoliers"
The
haunting, poetic cadences of M. Oliver Wilkey's language, combined
with G. Pat Mortimer's evocative staging, bring complex, sometimes
bewildering emotional currents to 'The Happy Gondoliers.'

We
accidentally microwaved the garden salads, but besides that -- everything
was very enjoyable.

I
was having trouble with my 28Kps dial-up connection -- so I missed
the whole second half. Though I did enjoy the Hawaiian chicken, and
the cookie was very moist and chewy.
