Andyco.com v3.0

Still trying to get it right...

Dear Visitor,

Since the spring of 2000, Andyco.com has been the premiere source for Andyco related news and information. Why the most premiere site you ask? That's because the word "premiere" is an overused, nebulous term that can be applied to almost anything. And though it's a tricky word to spell ("i" before "e", and don't forget there's an "e" at the end), there's always spell-check, and it seems to best describe Andyco's third major update.

Getting back to the point.

For over a year and a half now, tens of thousands of internet users - most of them lost - have stumbled upon our site. And let me say that the response has been truly overwhelming (because my PR department told me to say it).

I'd personally like to thank all of you who've written us with thoughts and suggestions. But, of course, that would be impossible since I'm very busy running a multi-billion dollar conglomerate, and I have little time for that sort of thing.

I did, however, ask our IT department to get to work on a bigger and better web site. I hope you'll agree - the many months our staff spent away from family, sleeping under their desks and living on party mix, was well worth it.

We asked what YOU want, then did what WE want.

Our marketing team went to work, conducting hundreds of focus groups in an effort to learn what we could do to improve the end-user experience (see pie charts). What we learned was surprising -- that most people who show up for a focus group are dimwits who'll do or say anything for $40 and some free potato salad.

Something old, new, borrowed, and blue...

Of course there's still all the old stuff you've read before, but there's some new stuff too. Like the all-new Andyco Tour , the Andyco KidzKlub , the weekly memo, WACO Radio and our new weekly comic... The Boardroom Bunch.

In the coming weeks, watch for more additions, such as new sites devoted to our subsidiaries -- Acoil, AndyMart, and our cable channel, ACTV.

Something borrowed? Well we've "borrowed" some photos here and there. And we've redesigned the site so it's now blue instead of purple because one day I announced to the IT staff that I didn't like purple anymore. Of course, a few of those temperamental programmer-types huffed and puffed, so I reminded them that if they wanted a purple web site, that they could go start their OWN international corporation... and I'd be happy to provide a kick out the door, and 2 weeks salary to get them started.

But where was I?

We hope you enjoy the latest version of Andyco. And thank you for your continued interest in Andyco, the company that truly is "Everything to Everybody."
